Exchange and workshop in Päijät-Häme, Etelä-Savo and Pirkanmaa regions in Finland 29.11.-3.12.2004

Participants from Austria, Italy and Finland. Arranged by the Village Action Association of Finland / The Village Economy Project.

1. EXCHANGE PROGRAM: SUSANNE OYRER, HILDEGUND MORGAN, ANDI KUPFER, MANFRED RUSSMAN, ELINA LEPPÄNEN AND HENRIK HAUSEN.

Heinola village house, a service center run by the village association. Cafe, computers, art exhibitions, handicraft shop, courses etc. Kalevi Porvari, Marjo Rintaluoma.

Otava multiservice center in a village outside Mikkeli. Post office, town infocenter, pharmacy, home service for elderly etc. Run by the cooperative enterprise "Työosuuskunta Otavan Lähipalvelukeskus" which is connected to the village association. Pipa Jartti-Kongas.

Afternoon childcare in Otava, run by the village association. The childcare is situated in the village church where there is also a sauna and a swimming pool. The village association works in close contact to the local parish.
